We had a great stay here in the Banyan room! Large, clean rooms with everything you need. The pool and deck were really nice to have on the red tide days. Staff were all super helpful and friendly. Easy to find/access, and less than 5 minutes’ walk from the beach. Tons of nice beach stuff to use as well - comfy chairs and really sturdy umbrellas. We would definitely return!
Absolutely love it ! Can’t wait to go back ! Completely remodeled, full kitchen, beautiful bathroom that even includes full sizes of shampoo and conditioner ! Room has everything you can imagine , also near nice restaurants and super close to the beach..
We were able to rent all the rooms for our extended family stay here and oh my gosh it's been perfect.
We stayed in the Banyan and can't wait to book a longer stay at Sunshine Island Inn! The room was like a brand-new apartment with a beautiful, modern pool area just outside the sliding glass doors near the living room. The bedroom was spacious, the A/C was great, the living room area very comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom were modern and clean, and the overall vibe was Major League quality! We can't wait to book here again and this time, for a much longer trip! By the way, when we arrived, we asked our neighbors what they thought about this property, and they were also thrilled!
The room was clean … plenty of room for 3 adults … direct pool entrance from room … laundry very clean with newer machines … plenty of towels and beach towels … grills … shell cleaning station and outdoor shower … good location … access to beach via a 2 minute walk … quiet … definitely would return.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Sunshine Island Inn in September of 2024. The accommodations were exactly what I needed for my weekend getaway. My bed and pillow were both comfy—something I rarely find when staying away from home! The location is convenient, particularly if you like Lighthouse beach and excellent shelling. Truly though, it’s a quick drive to anywhere on the island. Quaint shops, coffee, and ice cream are just down the road. The Inn is quiet and check-in/check-out couldn’t be easier. I absolutely plan on returning to Sanibel and staying again at the Sunshine Island Inn!
Location is great, 2nd time staying there within 12 months. Will go back in the future. Fantastic for a 3-4 day get away from kids and family. Facilities are great, clean and equipment is free to use, chairs, umbrellas and carry buggy. Just make sure you return when finished. Pool is great plus you have a great BBQ area.
Absolutely amazing place to stay! Our room was such a convenience for us with a full kitchen! Close drive to everything on the island. Walk across the street to the beach! Definitely would stay again! No kids or pets allowed but that wasn't an issue for us this trip.
